SLLS Division Descriptions
Quickball (4-5 year olds) - Quickball is a truly revolutionary national program designed for children ages 4 to 5 who are just beginning to explore the game of softball. Quickball makes the game more exciting and active to play and watch! Each child is given a bat and a ball to keep and take home with them to play in the yard!
Quickball grabs the attention of young players and lets them learn softball fundamentals without being bored or intimidated. This fast paced and developmental game was designed to replace t-ball. The up-tempo game play generates non-stop player movement and keeps everyone on their toes. Every batter sprints a single, double, triple and home run in every game and fielders stay active by rotating positions and handling specific fielding assignments. Quickball practices/games will only be on Saturdays at Veterans Park. Quickball does NOT require any personal equipment - not even a glove.
These CORE concepts teach the game in a whole new FUN way!
• Rapid Rotation
• Inclusiveness
• Pitch to Hit
• Keep it moving
• Everybody contributes
• Never Boring
